Suspension of Late Fees & Disconnection on Utilities until Further Notice

Following the temporary closure of school districts and other businesses in the Lincoln and St. Charles County areas, it is inevitable that family incomes will be impacted.  Unfortunately, for some families, this may mean difficulty keeping up with the utility bills while they navigate life in the coming weeks.

The City of Elsberry will make the following adjustments to procedures:

  • Late Fees will be suspended until further notice
  • Disconnection on Utilities (water, sewer & trash) for non-payment of services will be suspended until further notice

Although late fees and disconnections are being suspended, accounts will continue to accumulate monthly balances if left unpaid.  If you are unable to make full payments during this time, please contact City Collector Rachel Reed at 573-898-5588 during regular business hours at City Hall Mon-Fri 8AM-4PM so your account can be noted and payment arrangements can be made.

Thank you!!!
