Update Letter from Steve Wilch, Mayor of Elsberry on the Coronavirus
Dear Elsberry Residents & Business Owners,
I wanted to update everyone regarding the ongoing concerns with the Coronavirus situation. We are not under martial law and City Hall will remain open until we are mandated otherwise by the state and/or county authorities. We continue to stay in contact with our state & county officials as well as the Lincoln County Health Department so please continue to check our website www.cityofelsberry.com for updated information or contact City Hall during regular business hours Mon-Fri 8AM-4PM .
We encourage everyone to support our local businesses during this time. Our food establishments are open for take-out and delivery and all our regular businesses would appreciate your business to keep our local economy going and keep their people employed. Please keep an eye out for your elderly neighbors during this time as well.
A letter has been posted at City Hall and on our website suspending late fees and disconnection on utilities (water, sewer & trash) until further notice. Accounts will continue to accumulate monthly balances if left unpaid but if residents are unable to make full payments, please contact City Collector Rachel Reed to make payment arrangements.
If you have any other concerns or questions, I am available to meet by appointment only so please contact City Clerk Sue Hogarth to schedule an appointment at 573-898-5588.
